I have an original 62 date code 409/409hp. I need to find an impala to put this in! we found it in the father n laws shop after he passed. He knew the wife and I are car nuts and told us that "you need to look in the back of the shop their is a few things you might want" I found this 409 and 2ea. m21's!!!!
You could always buy this car and have it as a back up motor.

There might be someone looking for that original 409 (if it is actually a 409/409) for their car -- matching numbers sort of thing ya know.... and would be willing to pay a nice premium for it.
I think before I just "stuck it in" something -- I'd put an ad in Hemmings and maybe on some of the Chevy forums that would cater to that "era"... and see if you could find a buyer.
