Default HPI Customs 1973 Duster Pro Touring

Finally posting up some of our projects from the last year!! Sorry for the delays! Here's a cool Duster (yes you can put those words together) that we contributed to. They all can't be full blown high end builds, and we think we added some taste and nice touches without going over the top!

So this was a special project for our customer as it was him and his late father's project, and wanted it on the road for his wedding. Yay, deadlines!

Our painter, Ralph at Auto Ressurrection, started the restoration, and we came in for suspension, brakes, wheels, drivetrain, wiring, and interior upgrades. Basically, the list is:

Mild 340
Ameican Powertrain T56 Magnum package
Control Freak IFS and 4 link
8 3/4 rear
Wilwood Dynapro brakes
Rushforth Night trains
Nittos
American Autowire, HPI Customs dash, Vintage Air heat/defrost
Afco Rad
HPI Customs exhaust, x pipe 3 inch with Dougs headers (yes big, we are planning a stroker motor upgrade)

All in all, this car is a riot to drive. Even with mild N/A horsepower, the 4.10s and the t56 make it a blast to drive!

This is our third Control Freak IFS for Mopars, and we love their product!

We did a mild 340 for this car, with a cam, Air Gap intake, Holley, and the usual goodies.

Trans Crossmember for the T56. I know its not symmetrical, its a Mopar they have a thing with offset drivelines.....

and a strut tower bar we decided to make because we could....and the shock holes weren't welded shut before paint. It was going to be a stocker.....and I didnt do the sheet metal.

Just a bit of hood clearance, seems the Air Gap intake is just a bit too high. If we didnt use the Xstream air cleaner top we could have avoided it.

The fun stuff! Made a cool minimal intrusion tunnel hump that is removable for the shifter, and since we werent doing a console we just put a Lokar shift boot right on it, over the carpet!
