Thanks Steve. Spent the morning in the garage with my buddy changing out the Beehive springs for the BTR double springs.

Out with the old ! If you can call them that?

In with the new!

Tomorrow we get on the rocker arms with the CHE trunnion upgrade.

The rocker are all together with the CHE trunnion bushing. I had something to do today, they'll go in Monday.

It took no time at all to do the trunnion swap.

I wish we could do it now, but I would have to push! But I'm heading in the right direction.

Last week I went on an excursion in the garage. I had been reading to find out if my supercharger had the solid isolator or the problem some spring isolator. All the reading on forums said it's the spring isolator a call to a GM dealer agreed. So to get ahead of it I decided to change it to the solid one since I had it and the water pump and everything was off the motor. Every one was pretty sure the super charger didn't have to be lifted if I could get to the bottom bolt on the snout. We got it. We broke the snout loose and it couldn't make it over the valley cover breather tube. Then we lifted to S/C and the snout came right off SWEET! Wrong! my crate motor shipped with the solid isolator that GM was sure it didn't have.
A whole day wasted and a whole lot of curse words I haven't said in years. At least I'm sure it good to go.

Last winter I started smoothing the factory accessory drive to give it a brushed look. I did most of the flat sides and left the inside pockets alone. I finally got around to finishing them and clear coating them. I used Eastwood's 2K Aero Spray Matte Clear, I think gloss would have been better.

here it is painted and installed.

Sorry about the wasted time on the supercharger snout. I did mine on the bench. Hardest part was lifting the beast off the engine alone - not a good idea. I used the hoist to put it back.

The brackets look really nice. That is a great idea for guys on a budget like me.

What would happen if you sprayed a layer of gloss over the current finish?
