I'm shocked Wilwood (or some idiot that works there) would suggest using tape - or anything else for that matter - in a brake system....
#1 cause of leaks --- OVER TIGHTENING the fittings.... and if they leak - tightening them some more. LOL
Not saying you did this - but other people read these posts - so have to spell it out. The interface of the soft brass conical areas and using double flares or single AN spec flares and stainless steel lines and then CRUSHING them... is where I've always seen the issues. You look down inside and see the brass deformed.... a leaker for sure. No amount of tightening the fitting will fix it.
I always sneak up on these --- snug it - back off - snug a bit more - back off - snug it up tight - without being a gorilla.... The snug/back off - give the two mating surfaces a chance to seat.
