Default Truetrac making noise need advice

I have 9" with a 31 spline true trac and 3.50 gears in my 57. When you ease off the gas to slow down a couple of mph the differential makes noise a sounds like a bad u-joint or a jerky slack type noise. It doesn't do it if you are speeding up or if you take your foot off of the gas pedal completely. There's no gear whine so I know it isn't that. My Camaro has a 12 bolt with a truetrac and it doesn't do this. Eaton said get use to it. Any of you guys had this issue? What would be another strong quiet unit for this differential? It has 600HP LSX454 and a 4L80, I take it to the drag strip and want to autocross it. I mainly just cruise in it.
Thanks

Default

Mine started to make a noise as well as 3 other buddies right between 120 to 160 miles. After about 400 miles it stopped making that clunk noise and has been good since all all 4 cars. Strange but true
