Default Rear axle catch can-breather ideas?

I had to remove the original breather that Strange installed on my new 9" because it was in the area that I had to weld on tabs for an upper arm. I will be drilling and tapping a new hole in the axle tube and need some ideal on what to use for the axle fitting, catch can, etc. I have cage tubing in the trunk area that the can could be mounted to and some lift over 6AN PTFE hose that I could use if needed. Any ideas?

AME makes a nice compact unit. The key is to mount it high so not much fluid fills the can. OTOH you could look at a Morso unit which holds more volume.

Put the feed hose at the very bottom of the tank so the fluid will drain back down.

Default Two ideas

Nobody mentioned either one of these. They are costly but both built really well. Several designs available. The Finch version can vent two devices.

Do the II Much pieces just vent, or is there also some storage if lube makes it all the way up?

If you have IDIOTS (Steve's Auto Restoration in Portland Oregon) put your rear end in -- and they choose to install a vent on the gear side of the ring gear - it will throw lube up at the vent and no matter what you do it will push gear lube out the vent....

LOL

Finch makes great stuff -- but like most things it also depends on the installation.

I will be removing my Strange 9" after mock up to finish welding on suspension tabs and get it painted. I am thinking about drilling a hole and welding in a bung on the upper front drivers side of the center section to run a line to a breather/catch can in the trunk. I think I read somewhere that this is where GMR recommends the vent.
