Similar yes, but I've been told the GTM takes a lot more work to get "right"... but that's just what people have told me. No direct experience.

I really want to build one of these after my Camaro is done. I've been looking at SLC's and Factory Five GTM's for years. I think you definitely made the right choice.

Did you sell your Camaro?

I can't wait to see it come together man, good luck!
Thanks! I'm giving myself 6 months to build this, so we shall see!

Thanks Waynie, hopefully she'll look as good when the body is back on the chassis

no problem... the way I see it, it's just another form of hot-rodding. Honestly, this is wayyyy harder than my Camaro was. At least with the Camaro I had a slew of other people who had already done what I had done and many times entire kits were available to solve almost every problem. Not quite the case here.

There's a handful of people with these things and even less responding on the forums.

This is just a different sector of hot-rodding and certainly going to be pushing some major lateral-g's in the skid pad

What's crazy is a couple weeks ago I was watching YouTube videos of SLC's and I saw you commented on one of the videos trying to get in contact with a dude. I figured there was a chance you would have one eventually. I'm really glad you're doing a build thread.

I'd really like to check it out in person in a few months.

Haha no not me, I just watch from a distance. I just really dig these things. Did you get this one from Fran or did you pick it up from someone 2nd hand who lost their ambition?

Can't wait to see it in person.

I love these as well...I definitely want one too some day. They are crown pleasers for damn sure. Not being funny, but I can't believe some of you guys have never heard of these. They are awesome. Way better than a Factory Five if you ask me. Guys, and considering what some of have put into our classic muscle cars, trust me...you could have built one of these too. It's not as pricey as you would think.

Straight as in took the shop tour? I bet he's got some really cool stuff to see!

I'm guessing you looked at his new GT-R and liked the styling of the SLC body better?

Jeff-
I wish I had a chance but it wasn't in the budget

Added some minor things, all stuff that has to get done. Still have yet to find a good way to get the tape residue off without some hassle. Oh well... Maybe it just takes more elbow grease.

Finished brake lines to the calipers. Had to remove the caliper on the rears to get the banjo bolts in, not a big deal.

FInally got her up on jackstands to do some of the more important work:

Master cylinder reservoirs. I was pleasantly surprised at finding pre-drilled holes for these on the drivers side. Made this so dang easy.

Buttoned up for the night
