They just add unnecessary weight.

After GingerMan, Hellfire stopped by Dutchboys for a little buff and shine prior to SEMA.

The photo below doesn't do the reflection in the quarter panel justice. Their work and attention to detail is amazing. Dutchboys have mad skills!!

I had a great outing on Saturday. This project has seemed harder than some of the others.

Part of what I was doing with all this track tests was working on what tires to use.

I tried the following tires:

295/35R18 front 335/30R18 rear Rival
285/35R18 front 345/30R19 rear Michelin Super Sport
315/30R18 front 335/30R18 rear Rival

The 315 - 335 Rivals were the best for balance and forward bite. The Rivals are terrible without a heat cycle.

Again this car has exceeded expectations. I know we added a lot of cooling but being able to run a 20 minute session flat out with no issues is awesome.

On Gordon’s second photo you can see me pushing a BMW race car into turn one and the smoke you see is him locking the brakes up. I was pushing on a lot of race cars that day. It is entertaining to me to run down guys on race tires in the turns. I know I can kill most cars in the straights but the guys on 40 tread wear Hoosiers should be faster.

This is the best car I have ever built. Fast, pitchable, predictable and a lot of consistent power. The car is as strong on lap one as lap 10. For people who have built high power cars keeping them cool is a big challenge. The other big take away is if you keep the fluid cool they don’t leak also.

It has been a rough summer finishing this car and I could not have done it without some great help from good friends.

The car ships tomorrow and Sled Alley is helping me finish up the decal install.

If you’re at SEMA stop by and say hi and I’ll show you my latest project.

The Lateral – G community is great and I enjoy interacting with this group. Thanks for all the posts and support over the build. It is a great group to keep me motivvated to push on.

Thanks Mark
