Wow. I almost forgot about this site. Been building a house and just finished it, so we're trying to get settled in. The car hasn't been touched in almost 18 months. I have managed to buy a few parts here and there. I have everything to finish it except the wiring harness and computer which I hope to order within the next few weeks. Once I put it together, I'd like to get it dyno tuned and ready to go before I pull it apart for paint.

My wife and 6 yr. old are on me to get it finished, so I hope to get back on it pretty soon. I'll do a better job of updates now that my life is back to normal and have my own place again.

It's been 13 months since I last posted but the car is moving along. FINALLY heading to the shop this weekend to start body work/paint. I basically have all the parts necessary to reassemble except for seat covers, headliner, etc., so once it's back from paint, it'll be a mad rush to get it assembled for May 2015. Our church has a car show every year during that month and I have a lot of people expecting to see it there.

I remember being inspired by your work on the subframe. My local parts guys looked at me like I asked for methamphetamine when I asked for Allmetal filler. Is there any chance you could give me a manufacturer and product number? The only one I find online is USC, is that the stuff?

Are you concerned about it cracking from chassis flex or has this been proven durable for frames? All help appreciated. Thanks

I will once he gets moving on it. He picked it up Sunday and called me today to let me know he had the subframe aligned and the front sheet metal close to aligned. I'll post a few in the upcoming weeks.

Carl Cobb. He lives in Central and does amazing work. He specializes in building custom street rods. I used to work with him years ago at Dow and learned of his skills back then. He just retired in August and started doing it full time so I timed it just right. He's doing 1 car at a time, so it won't be in paint prison like some.
