Default 1965 Fastback with DSE

We will be installing DSE mini tubs, subframe connectors, front and rear suspension in this 1965 Fastback.
This is what we are starting with.

The first step is to remove the undercoating before it goes to get media blasted. I have never seen so much undercoating.

You never know what you will find under the paint

Love that body style. What's the owner going with for a drivetrain?

Don't let Matt near it.

Subscribing... I plan on using the DSE front and rear systems in my 66 GT fastback, so I'm really interested in seeing the installation detail.

Not sure about the drivetrain yet and Matt hasn't seen it.

There was a lot of bubbles and paint coming off so I decided to investigate before sending it to be blasted.

We have repairs to do before we install the DSE mini tubbs.

The front crossmember had been hit so we replaced it

Before we installed the new one Brian cleaned up the surface rust than brushed a coat of SPI epoxy

The left front apron has a little rust so Brian cut it out

There was also a little rust on the firewall. After drilling out the spot welds on the fender apron Brian patched it.

Both quarter panels need to be replaced.

After they were removed everything was epoxy primed

Lining up the new trunk floor
