After getting a few rides in with Mark Stielow And Ray Thompson over the weekend I think its safe to say he has the bug...

So we decided to head back to the shop Saturday night and get a test runs in around the shop parking lot...lol

Nothing is better than seeing your customer happy about his car.

Look for some Paint progress photos here in the next few weeks.

Yeah that would be motivational for sure! Great to see it in the home stretch.

What color did the customer decide on? Car looks great and I can believe that after some runs with Mark he has the bug. Will be interesting to see it when you have finished the project.

Hey, I totally know that guy!! Deep voice, usually wears a mask, cape and breathes real heavy? Hangs out with some bad dudes and even his kids are tough guys?

Good to see you guys are attracting customers from far and wide!

Paul, how about an update on this car and the other 137 first gens at the shop? I bet some of these guys wouldn't even mind seeing a truck/Nova/Vette build that may or may not be going on.

You know keeping us up to date is almost as important as auctually working on the car.

Yeah I wouldn't mind seeing more of what's happening.

Sorry guys we have just been so busy at the shop I keep telling myself that im going to take a few minutes and through some stuff up, but it seems to never happen. I also need to make a few other build threads or just one big one of some other really cool projects happening in the shop.

We are in the final push on the 67' Just trying to get everything finalized and fabbed up before we blow it apart for paint We have made a few changes in some areas but getting very close. The goal is to have the shell done and ready for assembly before we leave for SEMA. I better get back to work.....

Finished up all of the brake lines. Will be nice to have a lot of this pre fab done so when it comes time to assemble it should go together pretty nice.

Also we did a slight radiator support mod for the C&R radiator.

Punched and flared both halves and welded all of the joints together so that it would look the same front and back and have that stamped look.

Also went around the perimeter of the opening with some 1/8x1/2 to strengthen the opening.

We have also done a ton of work to the inner fenders/fenders to get them to fit 275/35/18 BFG Rivals and still be able to run the car low without rubbing under all conditions. I will add up a few more photos of what we did. The inner fender still comes down the side of the fender and locks into the rolled lip along with a few of the factory bolt holes. Just in case the tire does rub the outer fender it will still have something to protect it from damaging the outside of the fender.

I will have some more updates soon on this car along with all of the other projects in the works at the shop.

Looking good Paul.

Maybe just start a project thread that represents the shop and post random projects updates as time allows? Being less formal should take less energy and make it quicker to post updates.

A little is better than nothing.

great work Paul,

I know how long it took you to get that inner fender done right. Plumbing is great too.

Default What's up at Dutchboys

Great stuff Paul ! Yes, maybe you guys could do like Ironworks and just post up current projects every so often. All the stock subframe guys are drooling to find out more detail on the fender mods to fit the 275s up front. Also, that radiator is exactly the one I am looking at. Any more info. on the core support changes is also greatly appreciated. Hope you got your fenders shipped out of Phoenix OK.

Scott
