Default 68 Camaro A/C dash vent seals

Can someone please help me out on which seal to use inside the dash vent retainer (black part). If I use the seal on the left it is too large and will not let me install the retainer in the bezel and the ball won't rotate. If I use the seal in the middle and right they don't seem to be wide enough and the ball grabs and wants to pull them out. I cant find any instructions on these. Does anyone have pics of theres or advice.

Well I had to order the chrome AC vents for my 68 Camaro as well. I ordered the seals, and ran into the same issues as well. I ended up keeping original seals because they seemed to be more robust and the material of construction was way better than the aftermarket ones.

Wish I had the option to keep the original seals. The person who had the car before me removed the ductwork and had little speakers in the bezels. Guess I will call classic industries or figure something out.

If you are going to order new ones, get the ones that Vintage air sells, they are plug and play without any extra seals. The part number I believe is 49306-vcl. For some reason I can't post the picture of the one I have. Will try tomorrow. The part number is from their catalog http://www.vintageair.com/2014catalo...08-15%2019.pdf

Default vents

Thanks for the info Chris. Dang wish I would have seen these before I bought new ones from classic industries.
