Default Tanks Inc FI Tank with a Carburetor

This may have been gone over but I couldn't find it anywhere. I just installed my new Tanks Inc fuel tank. I bought it with the TBI pump that puts out less pressure. They say to just run a return style regulator before the carburetor. I'm fine with this but think a fuel log may be a better route. Has anyone installed these tanks on a carbureted motor? I'm waivering between both ways and type of line I'm going to run.

Option #1 I initially was going to do the return regulator close to the tank and run 3/8 or 1/2" hard fuel line up to the motor with an additional regulator at the carb. I'd set the rear regulator at a higher pressure just to get the return then 8 psi at the carb.

#2 I thought about running a 1/2" hard line to the motor, a fuel log with a return regulator returning into a 5/16" line to the tank.

#3 -8 line up -6 back.

Any thoughts? I may be over thinking it. I have approximately 550 hp big
block with a 980 cfm carb.

I'd go -8 to regulator mounted near the tank. Short -6 return and 1/2" steel line up with -8 fittings. keep it simple. 550HP and electric pump I'd be surprised if you needed a log. Not much pulse either.

Now to really mix things up I am really leaning toward going with a FITech setup??? I really like what I've seen from them and think it would be a perfect setup for my car. Thanks for the tank Vince!

Regulating the fuel pressure back at the tank and just having a single supply line has been working very well for GM and anyone using a C5 fuel filter/regulator. I see no reason you can't do the same thing with your car even with lower pressures. I would recommend a pressure gauge at the carb or FiTech unit so you can get it dialed in correctly though. Good luck!

Overthinking and IMO making it way more complicated.

Fuel pump to adjustable bypass regulator on the frame (or somewhere close to the tank, return to the return port on the pump. Hard or flexible fuel line from regulator to carb. No need for a second pressure regulator.

Vent Tank to Rollover Vent.
