Default 502 Ramjet Hood Clearance

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if anyone knew how high the Ramjet 502 injection systems are...I have a '67 Chevelle...I have a chance to buy a 502 Ramjet motor complete with the injection system...I am worried about hood clearance...I know for sure that the stock/SS Chevelle hood will not clear the top of the ramjet...But would a 2" Cowl hood do it?...I don't want to go to a 4" cowl hood...

Anybody done this on a '66-'67 Chevelle?...

Thanks...

This might should have been put into the body section, but it is really engine specific...

Just finished installing one in a 66 Chevelle for a customer. 2" cowl will work just fine. I am working on lowering everything and machining the intake to make it fit a flat hood

Wow...Thanks for the info...

I've heard of guys cutting out an inch or two from the runners, enough to fit them under low height hoods...A little far outta my reach with the tools I have though...

Take some pics of the mod on that, won't you?...I'd love to see it done...

A 2" cowl hood will look good...
