Default What axle bearings???

I have a 66 Chevelle w/12 bolt that I want to get rid of the c-clips, I saw some of the guys on here saying they were having some probs w/seals leaking after heavy side loads. Did anyone come up w/a solution? I was thinking about the big Ford housing ends. Any thoughts? Thanks Shawn

The Torino big bearing does have a tendency to leak. When I had a DSE/Moser 9'' I would just have to pull the brakes off, put some silicone in, and let it sit for 24 hours. It was a quick fix and would hold up pretty well for a month or so.

You should probably get some opinions from guys running tapered bearings as there is a bit of a debate going on as to which is better.

Matt
