After the AutoX, I went to work to dial in the car for a trip to New Jersey Motorsports Park for some track test and tune time to prep for Optima. First off I scaled the car and set the cross weights. She's got some ballast in her to make the min 3200lb Optima challenge rule, but the cross came out pretty good! next up was getting her all aligned and pointed straight. There's a new shop here called Rent a Lift, you pay for shop time by the hour and have full use of the shop. I rented the alignment rack for $65 and was able to dial everything in like I wanted! Pretty cool to be able to do it yourself. At Jersey, we unloaded the car and had a little garage party with all the German import guys that were there, everyone loved the car! believe me it stuck out in the garage! The next day was open track day and you could run as much as you wanted! We hit the track at 9am and ran 45 mins, then came in to cool down. When we went back out the second time my guys noticed a small spot on the garage floor while I was running. It turned out to be Diff oil. The car ran great all morning, and really surprised a bunch of Porsche and BMW guys. After I came back in we discovered a leaking casing, it turned out that I had a broken mount on the camber control rod and the casing was not sealed tight. After finding the broken mount I decided to pack up for the day and bring her home (un wrecked) Here's a few pics.

I have matching pair of wheels on my '00 WS6 with the "street" tires on them. I just swap between the two cars from Hoosiers to Rivals. No changing tires on the rim, just swap from one car to the other! I'm cheap like that! (mostly just broke) Just got two new Rivals to match the other pair of Rival S that I used last year at the Charlotte Optima event. I'm glad I ordered them early, most places are already out of stock!

All fixed up and back in the car this weekend! The local race fab shop did some Tig work and then added some extra material to give it a little more strength. The car should be ready for AutoX next sunday.

Took the car to the local AutoX this weekend to shake it down and break in the new Rivals. The car was better than the driver for sure! Here's a couple of videos of my fastest run, one from the in car camera and the other pointed at the rear inboard shocks. I ended up finishing 8th overall out of 42 cars. Not bad for the guys I was up against.

Putting some interior back in the car getting ready for Optima NJ, you know, because street car! Decided to add a little flair instead of some plain old vinyl. Also Polished it up a bit, it actually has a little shine to it now.
