Default King of Mock Ups

So I have mocked up a lot of parts during the course of my project. I've used all sorts of items to help me envision a concept to it's reality. No matter how I do it, this is a necessary reality in order for me to look three steps forward so I don't have to take 4 steps back. While there are many methods or items used to "mock up" parts sometimes the simplest are the best. I start out easy just to make sure I'm on the right track. Sometimes I just don't have what I need and I'm impatient so I have to use whatever is handy.

Please post pics of your mock ups...any stage of a project and any part. Whether it's wood, steel, cardboard boxes, pillows or a toaster oven...let's see it!

Some of today's mock ups:

Rope and an Engine Hoist to hold up the new radiator/support and front bodywork. My brain is fried trying to mentally shoe-horn everything in here.

Also Trying to figure out a functional mid-plate mount using a motor mount/cross-member as a model.

Wood and Pallet Parts nailed together to hold up the custom Spintech Mufflers. (4" Exhaust...I think these are the heaviest mufflers in the world)

Shop View Today...My buddy George's Nova got some work done to it as well...almost fully stripped.

Back in the day....This was pre everything that's in the car now. I wish I had my tire mock up pics before I had cut the floor out and dropped it on the frame.

Even stuck the hood on without hinges and blocked the nose up with wood. Sometimes to get motivated you have to do a quick mock up..haha

Who's got the best mock up?

That's great stuff. Very ambitious project. I looked closely and didn't see any duct tape, or zip ties so it is too fancy to be one of my mock-ups!

Looking good Dan. That exhaust is insane.

Is this officially a new world record for the largest/heaviest mufflers ever?
The exhaust on this car is off the chain!

Thanks Vince! Just a hobby shop...I wish I could work on the cars during the week. My buddy George and I want to come up and visit you. Are you working on any Camaros or Novas right now?...Or are you at Sema? There's an insane 2nd Gen in the GO PRO booth.
