Default what are the best leafs for the buck for 2nd gen camaro

im looking to upgrade my tired leafs on my 74. i want to put an 18 or 19 inch wheel back there and try to stuff in a 315 so im not sure how low i can acctually go. more than likely i'll put a watts link in also so there shouldn't be any problems with side to side movement. any suggestions on what set of leafs and how low i should go? thanks in advance

Measure twice, and don't buy 315's unless your sure you want to cut.

You will probably have to mini tub the car to get 315's to fit. It's not a cheap proposition. If you decide to mini-tub, leaf springs will look cheap.

At that point you will have a number of suspension options. Checkout the sponsor DSE to your left and give them a call. More than likely they will have the answers you seek.

If you do some search you find lots of info. As Ty said you cant go wrong with DSE. If you need something special i recomend you contact ATS and ask more details from Chicane.

i was thinking about going the quadralink route but i just wanted something to run for the moment. is there an intructional, pictures, or a video floating around about the install of the quadralink into a second gen? i still think im gonna go to leafs for the mean time.
also ive seen a 2nd gen camaro with 315s around here, it looked like a tight fit, but it fit but barely. im definately gonna measure everything. i dont mind rolling the lips or banging the seatbelt "bump" in. if it still wont fit ill go to something smaller.

I run 315's on my 70 firebird. They're a tight squeeze and required exact backspacing measurements. I doubt they'd fit on my 74 Camaro as the wheelwell doesn't flare out as much. If I take the Camaro out this week I'll test fit them on the 74 since I'm in the middle of swapping in a different rear on the 70 and the wheels are already off. I've always wondered anyway.

315s fit on 70-73, not sure about the other years. Pro-touringf-body.com has chassis & suspension parts that are a great bang for the buck. I'm planning on their "competition" leafs.

Go for it and if the 315s dont fit you can probably make them fit with just a BFH.
