Life is to short for that kind of behavior..

A little common courtesy goes along way IMHO.

I've refrained, until now, from posting in novanutcase's threads about C-C, here or on Pro-touring.com, and I haven't posted in the C-C thread itself, although it was pretty clear he was simply baiting folks over there and then reporting on their reaction here and at Pro-touring.com.

HOWEVER, people, C-C has a set of rules. They make no bones about what the rules are, or that they enforce those rules. Why is that so hard for people to get? C-C allows soft porn to be posted over there. That's not against their rules. Neither Lateral-G nor Pro-touring.com allow any kind of NSFW images. Would we all be up in arms about how arrogant the mods were here if they eliminated threads containing soft porn or banned a user who insisted on posting NSFW images? I don't think so.

If you don't like the C-C rules or think they are unimportant, or don't like getting flamed because you refuse, for example, to search to see if your topic has been discussed before, I have a simple suggestion: don't post at C-C.com. The tech is fully available to lurkers.

You are right...And they are right..
They certainly have the right to act how they want on their site.
I just have a hard time with the rude way that they attack people.

Unecessary behavior IMHO to achieve thier goals for their site..
But I am sure it is a great source of entertainment for those involved.

Don't misunderstand me, I think many of them (mostly the newer members who must have been abused by bullies while in third grade) have unresolved issues that they attempt to work out by flaming posters at C-C.com. That said, going over there, posting a thread which is designed to get a reaction and then reporting on the reaction on other sites seems equally immature and, yes, even rude.

New member here, and just lurking but I had to post on this one. I had the same experience over at Pirate4x4.com. They act like 7 years olds and if say one thing wrong you can just forget about getting an answer to your question. I just don't have time or patience for that kind of attitude and abuse, so I never went back. There are plenty of good tech sites on the net with decent, respectable people and I wll visit them instead.

I agree! No need to kick a man while he's down! I don't see the need to flame someone to the extent that I was but, Hey, it's there sandbox and all I have to do is not go back right? They want to be jacka$$es? No prob! I'll go somewhere else where they actually want to HELP you! I will say though that in my case I sort of instigated it so I can't be too critical of the site. They do have great tech!

Crashdummy! What are you building?

All I have to say is there is no need to be rude and insulting. If I were to post over there and it was a re-post that I missed, I would have no problem being told "this is a re-post, please search further." The flaming they do is childish and un-acceptable. Yes, you should follow their rules, but if you make a mistake that does not give anyone the right to do what they do.

it's just as easy to kindly direct them to a link as it is to take the time to flame them. i would personally get more satifaction out of helping someone rather than fighting with them

As a "newbie retard" over there, they definately are hard on you. After a while some of them actually gave me some good info and help. I just wish that they could have answered my question to start with and not flame me. They are a good source of info and I will risk it again, you just have to do your homework first and be thick skined!
