Default Eric's Project "Grifter"

I got myself an RCR SLC.

I decided I wasn't going to dink around any more. I talked with Jeff Schwartz about his ULTIMA and he leaned much more towards the SLC and boy he wasn't kidding, this thing is dang awesome!

I'm super pumped to have the car here. It certainly brought a lot of people out of the neighborhood asking all sorts of questions and taking pics. It does draw a crowd!

I decided I ain't wasting no time. I need to get my car back in the garage before winter, so the goal is the be at the point of having the body back on the car by then... that's a lofty goal, but what the hell.

I have done some insulation but have some left over. Any thoughts on where to put some next?

Body off:

Starting insulation:

Back side:

Fuel Pumps are in and time to start making hoses!

Dani helped me scrape glue off.. it's a slow process.

Sure, just Google RCR SLC... they make replica race cars, GT40, AC Cobra, ferrari P4...etc... This is their one off car, not a kit car in the sense that you borrow parts from other cars, but it's own chassis, suspension...etc...

It's as close as you can get to a Daytona Prototype you're going to get. It may not truly be as fast as one (suspension and motor and what not), but they are DAMN fast and at around 2,100lbs soaking wet... it will scoot.

Motor will be a LSX I'm still working out the details, the trans is a G50/01 porsche transmission. Mid engine, RWD, Forgestar wheels.

Car will be white for now and maybe wrap it in a year or two.

So is the Camaro sold?

Similar to the Factory Five GTM?

Awesome Eric! I think you and I have really similar taste.

I really want to build one of these after my Camaro is done. I've been looking at SLC's and Factory Five GTM's for years. I think you definitely made the right choice.

Did you sell your Camaro?

I can't wait to see it come together man, good luck!
