Thanks! I am going to try and move the Firebird into the shop from the attached garage this weekend or the next.

Thanks! I had an electrician drop in a 60 amp panel off of the house. I ran 1 20 amp 110 circuit for 6 outlets, one 15 amp for lighting and 2 additional outlets, and 2 220 circuits - 1 for the heater and the other to switch between the lift and compressor. I went with led for lighting.

The Shop is complete for now. Paint is finished and tools are moved in. I got the car pushed in yesterday, so hopefully updates soon. This lift is going to make completing the lower sections of body work so much easier.

This one costs less than any 4 post that I've seen. I looked at different brands, but I suspect that the same manufacturer in China makes all the ones I was looking at.....so, I got this one from harbor freight. Cost is about $1500, but you can use the 20% or more coupons. I had a 25% off one day only coupon that I used. Add in Freight to the terminal and it came in under $1200 tax and all.

There are obviously some drawbacks to this style of lift compared to a 2 post or 4 post, but I don't have much room and both of those take up too much of it. If I had built a 30X24, I would have looked into a 2 post designed to handle more weight and for transmission access. Still, I would rather have this than nothing at all. This will make working on my projects so much easier.

Ok, I think I'm just about ready to get back to work on the Firebird. With any luck, I can make the time I need to make a real dent in the work I still need to complete. I ordered a DSE sway bar kit for it and have all the pro forged steering components in a box somewhere.

I just finished (well almost) the cover for the lift and completed my airlines this past weekend. We shall see if I can dedicate some time this weekend.

Here are some pics of where the shop is now:
