Default A/C for the long haul

I am at the point in making a final decision on to A/C or not to A/C.

I am a bit old school where A/C and heat not required for performance cars but it's not the 60's, 70's & 80's anymore and now considering a little luxury when stuck in traffic.

My Concern is for those of you who have A/C is it still working like the day you installed it? Are you happy with it was it worth the investment and has it been reliable?

I don't want to go to the effort and investment just to have something that won't do the job it is supposed to do when I need it.

My build is 66 Nova coupe LS3, 5spd, Detroit Speed front and rear built to be a cruiser, track car and it will be a driver not a trailer queen.

I wouldn't build a car without it.

1) you live in Georgia

B) It's the only money you put into a build that pays you back on resale.

III) It works so much better than a stock heater when it's cold out

cuatro) you live in Georgia

I put in a Classic Auto Air system. Been in the car now since ~2007... blows colder than you-know-what.

Nothing like getting on the highway, rolling up the windows and turning on the A/C....

Jeff runs Vintage Air in his car here in Vegas and it works really well. I'd say nearly as good at cooling down his 68 Camaro as the AC in my 2013 F150....and it gets friggin hot here!
