Trust me Chief, no one wants to see that more than I do.

This is not my favorite part of any build, considering it's backwards to the build.

The right side needed a bit more love, so the outer (DSE is now innner) needed replacement.

The right side quarter is on, but for a little more TIG welding.

Scott decided to start playing with the fun stuff. Installing the front suspension... that include C7 components.

Those parts are going to make such a nice build. It looks good and the subsframe's not even painted.

Now that the sheet metal repair is mostly done (still a little TIG welding left) I can order the carbon fiber panels I need, inner and outer front fenders, maybe door skins (opinions?) a less visions intrusive hood, etc. I do want to stay with the non RS/Split bumper nose I have, as the full bumper is staying. Need opinions there. Most of the carbon fiber will be painted, may do SS stripes in clear.

Scott can also get back into the more fun stuff... like installing my front sub frame. It truly looks amazing, like it was built for the car. The headers fit very nicely, as does the trans/bell housing. Looks like the lowest point on the car (so far) will be the lower C7 a-arm. That includes the headers, which just needed a stainless o2 bung welded inside, as the one Stainless Works put on would interfere with the sub frame. Can't wait to see the v-bands TIG'd on to the true dual exhaust with a crossover pipe. Scott also has a new Z/28 there to see how they did the exhaust over the 5th gen IRS we're using.

I had a TR6060 built with a mid mount shifter. May end up going with a tail mounted shifter, as it lines up with the factory shifter hole. I did buy a gen4 Camaro console, as I thought it would clean up the floor nicely. It's supposed to fit the mid mount better on our cars. All sorts of interest there. If not, I have a line on a Gen 5 console, that may fit the tail mounted shifter better. Still juggling that.

So it looks like I have to move my mid mount shifter. The gen4 console works great with the tail shifter position.

Scott will re-work the trans tunnel a little and create mounts for the center console. Can't wait to see all those holes filled. Someone was installing shifter boots by braille! Also looks like I can use a Lokar ebrake handle in the OEM gen iv position. Also can't wait to get rid of all the crappy wiring.

It also looks like I may help clear up a reputation issue on the board... I found a 1 gen Camaro sub frame of Scott's that needs love shown to it, installed into a 68 Camaro convertible I have here. May grab Wayne's SBC for that .
