Default Pantera Tech

Been working on it the last week or so
new front rotors, new halfshafts-old ones were
worse than I thought, jetted it back down 4 points
on the primaries to put the snap back in it (left it higher
to make it easier to drive on the street).. new seat belts 5 point,
fixed the passenger door handle so now it works,
cleaned up a few bolts, trims etc, new plugs, filter etc

Getting is polished this weekend..

I need to double check the rules but since tech guy is responding
Are there noise limits- my car can make 105 at Laguna with my street exhaust
I used to run the straight 4" pipes at Pahrump.. but also
have my Thunderhill pipes that make 98

Race gas allowed? I usually run 30% to what my engined
builder states lube the valves.. leaded of course

No noise limit that I'm aware of and we've had some pretty loud cars out there!

Since this is an invite or "winner" ticket entry... the "tech" guys are just some volunteers picked by Jimi... but tech is "serious". You must have the proper equipment to pass tech. So seat belts - helmet - headlights - working brake lights - proper battery hold down - fire extinguisher - proper tire rating - no leaking fluids etc will all be checked. Gas is not checked and by the smell test during the day at past OUSCI events - you wouldn't be the first or only that's running "non" pump gas...

Windows are optional..... Okay -- laughing at this because it's a past discussion about what constitutes a race car vs a street car....

Run the loudest pipes you got.

And don't forget your tire warmers.

Default Pantera Tech

yes the car is Track worthy
new 5 point harness, fire extinguisher, new helmet earlier this year,
fire suit, battery tied down, fuel cell, 4 point roll cage, no antifreeze,
new BFG tires, etc

4" exhaust will stay home this time as the 3" is almost as loud
but fits with the pretty bs screen at the rear of the car I just
put back in.. a pain as we had to swing the wing out to get the
screen back in.. it was out the last 4 years as I switch to the
4" straight pipes when we went to Reno, Firebird and Pahrump

Car passes tech at SCCA, Pantera events, Norcal Shelby, Checkered
Flag racing and American Autocross series

Several people that hang on Lat G have done tech for OUSIC.... and I think they'd all agree that you qualify.

It's funny to think of now -- but sometimes folks show up with no helmet etc.... and you kind of go "really"?? But then when you realize they came to SEMA and where asked AT SEMA to run... They didn't come to Las Vegas for a race... they brought their car for display! Some have never driven a track before.... and considering the quality of their cars - I'm always amazed that they're willing to go out and beat on them. KUDOS to those folks!

Since the subject has been brought up, I recently added a fire extinguisher to the car. Its mounted to the seat belt harness bar. Is this considered "within easy reach"? It was suggested that people who dont already have one, get this seat mount http://www.jegs.com/i/H3R+Performanc...M01BR/10002/-1 but if you are harnessed in, this is still not easy to reach. Thoughts?

Hey guys may have missed it on their site but is there a schedule of events for OUSCI including after parties and meet ups after the days events?
Thanks Shane
