Default air compressor issue

Hello people
Here is my short story. Sometimes I use the air compressor to paint the body. Unfortunately its original motor died. It is Craftsman. I do not have time and money to order a new motor from the dealer. But my father has a 3phase electric motor on his farm. I can take it temporarily, but I have single phase. How to fix that motor to my 90 gallon compressor with the VFD?
thanks

You don't...sorry without a phase converter you're S.O.L. At least as far as I know.

Thanks raustinss,
I also thought about the VFD. If to fix it correctly, maybe I will be able to convert the energy. But I do not know how to do it. and how much can it be…here is the motor’s model and all the specs https://www.mrosupply.com/motors/ac-...vm3546_baldor/
Guys, who can help to select the VFD for this motor?

Try this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006ET...TnL&ref=plSrch

However.. I'd try Craigslist first:if one of these is near you:

Yes you can use a VFD to run a three phase motor with single phase power. You must buy the correct VFD drive for the proper current input and load, and voltage. Unless you have a VFD already that will work, you are fine, but if you have to buy a VFD , you should do the math and see if it is cheaper to buy a used motor instead. Remember, compressors are what is called a hard start, they are under a lot of load during startup. Dan
