Thanks, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about the design of the engine mounts, they are solid 3/4" steel tig welded to the frame, I was thinking of some more bracing, possibly filling in the open area with some plate for more surface area on the frame to weld to. Any thoughts?

Just keep plugging buddy, one piece at a time, that's the way I've always looked at it. It's always worth all the effort the first time you get to lay a patch of rubber on the road.

Really impressed with the plan, the renderings are top notch (not that you'd expect anything less from Hermance Design), and the build is going fast. Must be a great feeling to see your work look this good and fast.

The motor mounts look cool. Don't know enough to make comment on whether you need to revised it to make it strong, I'm sure there are some people with welding skill/knowledge that can assist. I like that there is still space to mount the AC compressor low on the engine to help keep mass low for improved center of gravity.

The changes you cam up with for the car (Quarters, windows, hood) are really cool. Makes it look better than what Pontiac shipped out. Plus it's now multi-generation looking.

Amazed at how good the bones of the car looked after media blasting and the metal removed. This is a build to follow.

Here is the cropped image:

I forgot to tell y'all that is a small dab of silicon sealant that is strung out on the side of the block, nothing to worry about

Just got back from Statesville to have the boys at Kooks do a custom set of headers and hand-made merge collectors.

We got the gas tank in from Rick's today. Installed it and it fit perfectly.
