Anyone put a supercharger on a ls3 525 without changing the cam

I believe Angelo Vespi did this in his c10 built last year, he ran a Manguson charger.

The ASA cam is not exactly boost friendly. It would be relatively easy to swap in a LS9 cam and it is only about $130...plus your labor.

Andrew is right. If your engine is a crate engine, the gaskets will come off and go on without leaking. The ASA cam has a much tighter LSA and would not be ideal for boost. Whereas the LS9 cam is cheap and would drop in. And you'd have a HotCam to sell. Potentially a zero money out of pocket transaction.. as long as you're willing to swap cams yourself.
