Really enjoyed your thread. Can't wait to see more updates, and pictures from NOLA.

Updates! Well I pulled the car all the way to NOLA for the second Optima event of the season. That's 20 hours each way! Not fun. I'll write up a recap of that weekend later, here's the fix on the brakes.
Since the both the hub and spindle were broken and I planned to buy 2 hubs and a spindle I looked into upgrading to a C7 spindle and hub assembly. They are almost the same but just a little different. The C7 pieces are much beefier. Plus of this swap was that if I could make it work, then my calipers would bolt right on. So that's what I did! now the whole front is C7 less the control arms. I made up some brackets to hold the calipers on the rear and bolted everything together. I'd like to thank Powerstop Brakes for helping out with the rotors and pads for the swap!

I see you ran GS/C6Z rotors on your C5/C6 setup.

Was that the only thing needed to get the C7 brakes on your C6 setup?

Do you think Brembo C7 stuff is better then the C6Z PBR's?

I never actually ran the Z06 rotor with the brembos, but I did mock it up to see if it would work. The only issue I could see without actually using the setup is that the C7 pad hangs just a slight bit over the outside edge of the rotor. This is because the radius it was designed for is different than the radius of the C6 Z06 rotor. but it all fits and bolts together! That's about all I can tell you. I do have some more pictures if you're interested.
