Default Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here

I was sent here by friend of mine to pick up some knowledge/ideas from some of y'all.

I am a diesel mechanic by trade, I run my own business here in Vegas repairing heavy equipment in the field. I have always had a love for old cars.

I have a '57 Chevy 210, 2 door post, black with flames. It has a Goodwrench 350 longblock with Edelbrock carb and intake. Saginaw 4-speed. 3:73 gears.

I have a '64 Vette with a ZZ1 crate motor 355 hp 350, Muncie M-21 close ratio 4 speed, 4:11's, posi, radio delete, power steering, power windows, 4 wheel disc brakes.

I'm on my phone, will have to get on my laptop to see if I can figure out how to put pics up.

Default Plans

I don't have any "big plans" for them right now. I am going to rebuild the trans on my 57, fab a cross-member, replace some bushings up front, replace a sending unit for fuel tank. Reseal everything on engine (been setting awhile/one broken exhaust bolt), possibly relocate rear springs inside the frame to put some larger rubber back there.

The Vette just needs a few leaks repaired, and I'm gonna put a little more rubber on the road when it's time for tires.

Just like to see what other guys are doing. Get more "bad ideas" for my bank account!

Welcome to the forums.
Love that '57 210, always wanted one, and even better that shes black and flamed. Also digging that 'Vette, don't see many around where we are that clean of a shape or in general for that matter.

Thank you. Yea, all of them are getting harder to come by these days! I'm constantly turning down offers for the Vette. Someone would have to come up with a pretty stupid amount of cash to separate me from that car! :-)

I am enjoying parusing through the project pics, some pretty impressive rides in here!
