Default T56 bellhousing clarifcation??

I have a T56 out of a LS1 car, I also have a 70 chevelle, and a spare BBC laying around, They all need to come together. I know a LT1 T56 will bolt to a STD small or BBC. The LS1 T56 will bolt on, but has a longer input shaft.

Here is where it gets muddy, the BBC is exteranlly ballanced, I have a steel SFI flywheel for the motor but it is 168 tooth version. It does go into the bell housing So what is the simplest way of mating them? I have been through quite a Few T56's so I would have no problem swapping the input and the bell housing BUT does the 168 tooth flywheel fit? Or where do I find a externally ballanced 153 tooth flywheel? Am I stuck buying a adapter bellhousing either way? How do most guys do the linkage? Adapt the LS1 or LT1 HYD stuff or use mechanical?

Also I am thinking about making the speedo work........

Maybe one of you guys knows or has been there done that.....
