I'm a machinist, so a lot of this came natural, but I had never built one before I tackled this, downloaded the manual off the internet, about 40 something pages of step by step instructions. Try it!

thats what I did- I think the biggest part is keeping track of how everthing goes on the shafts and which direction everything goes
