I am not a steering rack expert by any means, so I am not the one to give you the best answer. For packaging, ease of changing ratios relatively cheaply, and for the proven and simple old way of doing things, this worked best for me. I like the feel of a good old box and good pump and with our custom steering arms it seems to work good.
